Karen Vick

Karen Vick is an award-winning marketer, designer, brand strategist, and founder of Island Design Studio, now doing business as Guiding Brands. Karen has been a part of the Pieces of Jamaica team from the start helping to establish the brand in 2012 when the first edition, Pieces of Jamaica, The Real Rock Edition, was published.

Karen holds a Bachelor's Degree in Multimedia and Web Design from The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale. The formal training received at The Art Institute, combined with her years in Retail Management, serves as the foundation for her keen ability to conceptualize her clients' vision and needs in delivering marketing strategies that produce the most return on their financial and emotional investment.

Karen is passionate about her Jamaican heritage and supporting Jamaican women through mentoring, coaching, and work as a founding member of the Jamaican Women of Florida.
