Charmaine Wright

Charmaine Wright has 20 years of experience in marketing, business development, and communications. She also works as an External Affairs Consultant with the World Bank in the Caribbean. Previously, she worked at the Caribbean Court of Justice as the Communications and Information Manager in Trinidad and Tobago. There she led a range of communications initiatives throughout the Caribbean and was also responsible for the Protocol, Library, and IT units.

Before that role, she was the Head of Trade and Investment at the British High Commission in Kingston. She developed relationships with private sector companies, civil society groups, umbrella organizations, and government departments in the UK as well in the Caribbean.

She earned an MBA, with a concentration in Marketing, from the University of Leicester and a BA in Literature in English from the University of the West Indies, Mona. Ever a learner, she recently finished a certificate in Corporate Communications from eCornell, Cornell University's professional education and lifelong learning unit.

Charmaine believes in working in an environment that nurtures future leaders, inspires innovation, and enriches communities. In her spare time, she enjoys a good book, yoga, and collecting art.
