Calibe Thompson

Calibe Thompson is the co-founder and creative director at creative services agency Island Syndicate, and co-founder of Caribbean arts and culture nonprofit Island SPACE. She is a Jamaican-American entrepreneur with titles including TV producer, publisher, director, host, author, columnist and public speaker. She manages the production of corporate print publications, video production and graphic design and branding for Island Syndicate’s clients, and has executive produced independent national and regional television series “Taste the Islands” and “Island Origins”, airing in 46 American states, over 20 Caribbean countries, and other international regions. She is the co-author of 3 best-selling books, was a co-producer of Island Syndicate’s “Taste the Islands Experience” culinary event series, and is the publisher of multiple award-winning Caribbean American lifestyle magazine “Island Origins.” Thompson’s ongoing mission is to develop polished and engaging presence for a variety of brands, and to create high quality Caribbean-inspired media for sophisticated, mainstream audiences. Her personal mission is to inspire people to respect each other, and expect greatness from themselves.
